Here’s what you need to know about selling during the holiday season.
Many of the clients and prospects we’re currently speaking with are posing a common question: Is selling your home during the holidays a good idea?
The first point I’d like to emphasize is that, based on my 14 years of experience and data analysis, homes are indeed sold throughout the year. Unlike some coastal markets that experience pronounced peaks and valleys, our market sees consistent activity, including sales in October, November, and December. While it’s true that more homes are typically sold in the summer and spring, there is also more inventory available during that time. In other words, you can still get a great deal for your house during the holidays.
“With less inventory, you’ll have less competition.”
The second point to consider is that inventory levels tend to be lower during the last three months of the year. Contrary to the misconception that homes don’t sell during the holidays, the reality is quite the opposite. With lower inventory levels, your home has a better chance of selling and achieving the desired price. This can be more advantageous than competing in a market with higher inventory and increased competition from other homeowners.
The final point to keep in mind is timing. Selling in any market is not straightforward, as everyone has unique circumstances and timeframes. It’s essential to focus on your specific needs and goals.
